Privacy policy
Last updated 5 November 2026. This policy covers the Rule Stack website (playrulestack.com) and the Rule Stack app for Android, made by Insoluble Labs.
What we collect
- Your game progress: best scores, the words you have found, daily results, XP, achievements and settings. It is stored on your device and backed up to our database (Google Firebase) under a random account ID, so you keep it if you reinstall or change device.
- Your account: when you first play we create an anonymous account with no name or email. If you choose Sign in with Google, we store the name and email of that Google account. On Android, if you use Google Play Games, we store your Play Games player ID and display name.
- Play with a friend: the name you type and the words you play are sent to the game room on our server (Cloudflare) and deleted 3 hours after the game.
- Usage and crash data: Firebase Analytics records game events (for example "a run ended, score 2,400") and Sentry records crash and error reports, so we can fix bugs and balance the game. From the app these include your device model, Android version, what went wrong, and your random account ID. From the website they include your browser and device type and what went wrong, with no account ID. On the website, Analytics runs without cookies.
- Ads (Android app): Google AdMob shows ads and may use your device's advertising ID. In regions that require it, you are asked for consent first, and you can change it in Settings under Ad privacy choices.
- Daily reminders (Android app): scheduled on your phone only, if you turn them on. No reminder data leaves your device.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't ask for your real name, and we don't share your progress with other players. Missing-word reports you send contain only the category and the word.
Who processes it
Google (Firebase, AdMob, Play Games Services), Sentry (crash reports) and Cloudflare (hosting and game rooms), each under their own privacy terms: Google, Sentry, Cloudflare.
Children
Rule Stack is meant for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your progress while your account exists. You can delete everything at any time: in the game open Settings → Delete my data, or follow the steps on Delete your data. We then delete your account and saved progress within 30 days, usually at once.
